Deze reglementering bevordert het vertrouwen in en de kwaliteit van de relatie tussen de patiënt en de beroepsbeoefenaar. De zorgverlener moet de patiënt bijvoorbeeld helder informeren over zijn gezondheidstoestand en de zorg die hij hem voorstelt. De patiënt van zijn kant moet aan de gezondheidsprofessional alle informatie verstrekken die vereist is om medische zorg te kunnen verlenen.(Flemish).

This regulation aims to ensure the quality of the relationship between the patient and the practitioner. The health care provider should inform the patient clearly of his state of health and the care he can offer to him. The patient should, in return, provide any information to the health professional who is required to provide medical care.
