The focus of the policy is the improvement of the health of youth by promoting healthy development.

The policy comprises of goals and activities which will contribute to establishing a responsible system of health care which appreciates youth; it promotes programs and services which take into account gender equity, it is youth-friendly, it promotes improved access of youth to health care system services including vulnerable groups and young women, it contributes to the overall improvement of youth health.
