Настоящий Федеральный закон определяет государственную политику в области социальной защиты инвалидов в Российской Федерации, целью которой является обеспечение инвалидам равных с другими гражданами возможностей в реализации гражданских, экономических, политических и других прав и свобод, предусмотренных Конституцией Российской Федерации, а также в соответствии с общепризнанными принципами и нормами международного права и международными договорами Российской Федерации. Законом внесены поправки 02.07.2013.

This federal law defines the state policy in the field of social protection of disabled persons in the Russian Federation, the purpose of which is to provide people with disabilities an equal footing with other citizens in the exercise of civil, economic, political and other rights and freedoms provided by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as in accordance with the generally recognized principles of and the norms of international law and the international treaties the Russian Federation is part of. Law amended on 02.07.2013.
