Description

Dieses Gesetz hat den Zweck, die Würde, die Interessen und die Bedürfnisse der Bürgerinnen und Bürger in Betreuungseinrichtungen vor Beeinträchtigungen zu schützen und die Einhaltung der dem Betreiber ihnen gegenüber obliegenden Pflichten und ihre Rechte zu sichern. Es soll die Transparenz über das Wohnen, die Abläufe und Angebote in Betreuungseinrichtungen fördern, das selbstbestimmte Leben der Bewohner und deren Mitwirkung und Mitbestimmung in der Betreuungseinrichtung unterstützen und zu einer besseren Zusammenarbeit aller zuständigen Behörden beitragen. Die zuständigen Behörden sollen sich bei der Anwendung von Rechtsvorschriften von der Lebenswirklichkeit älterer Menschen, pflegebedürftiger volljähriger Menschen und volljähriger Menschen mit Behinderung leiten lassen. Die letzte Änderung des Gesetzes erfolgte am 23.01.2014. Das Gesetz wurde am 10.02.2014 in die MiNDbank hochgeladen.

Purpose of the Act is:

1. to protect the dignity, interests and needs of residents in care facilities
2. to allow the residents of care facilities an appropriate and individual lifestyle and to maintain as well as to promote their independence, self-determination, self-responsibility and participation in community and cultural life
3. to ensure the operator of a facility respects the duties named above
4. to ensure the participation of the residents in residential life
5. to secure adequate quality of housing and care
6. to promote guidance for affairs concerning the facilities
7. to promote cooperation between authorities responsible for implementing this law and the operators of care facilities and their associations.
