1. To identify priorities for action and focus on the main behavioural risk factors shared
by chronic diseases namely physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, obesity, stress,
smoking and harmful alcohol use.

2. To outline the key directions for the promotion of healthy and active lifestyles for the next 5 years

3. To complement existing healthy lifestyle promotion and chronic diseases prevention
strategies and action plans.

It also serves as a guide to assist agencies and organizations to strengthen the development and delivery of quality integrated health promotion programme.
