La estrategia que se ha llevado a cabo para desarrollarlo se ha basado en el análisis y la toma de decisiones razonada. Se incluyen aspectos que la eviden- cia ha demostrado útiles en la prevención del suicidio y recomendaciones que se han demostrado eficaces en diferentes investigaciones.
El trabajo se estructura en tres capítulos. El primer capítulo está elaborado con un enfoque integrador, constituyéndose en sí mismo en un manual de análisis y recomendaciones sobre la conducta suicida.
El segundo capítulo realiza un análisis detenido de la epidemiología del fenómeno suicida en Andalucía. El tercer capítulo, revisa la evidencia sobre la efectividad de distintos tratamientos en el control somático de la ideación suicida.
Por último, una guía con recomendaciones sobre el abordaje de los distintos momentos del proceso de suicidio para personas con idea- ción suicida y para familiares y allegados.
