Estas Proyecciones de la Salud Pública para el 2015, constituyen un valioso instrumento estratégico y programático del camino que debemos seguir en los próximos diez años pues define no sólo los propósitos y metas a alcanzar, sino que precisa la organización y funcionamiento, en base a las prioridades del sistema. En las Directrices Generales hemos significado las principales líneas de trabajo, emanadas de las más altas políticas del sector, que conducirán al alcance de las metas planteadas y que demandan de la participación cohesionada de nuestros cuadros y trabajadores con todo el pueblo. Las metas y directrices específicas son productos del trabajo participativo de experimentados científicos y técnicos del sector en los campos particulares de las especialidades y disciplinas de las Ciencias de la Salud. Como toda meta, resultan tensas y desafiantes, pero alcanzables si con entrega y cohesión trabajamos con ciencia, inteligencia y creación. A partir de estas Proyecciones quedarán diseñados los Objetivos del Sistema Nacional de Salud y todos los programas y planes tanto administrativos como técnicos que aseguren el cumplimiento en todos los niveles.
