La presente Ley tiene por objeto instaurar el marco jurídico, político e institucional que oriente las acciones del Estado y la sociedad en general hacia la definición e implementación del conjunto de políticas necesarias para lograr la satisfacción de las necesidades y expectativas de la población joven de la Nación, asícomo una efectiva participación de los jóvenes en los procesos de toma de decisiones.

This Act is to establish the legal, policy and institutional framework to guide the actions of the state and society in general toward the definition and implementation of all policies necessary to achieve the satisfaction of the needs and expectations of youth, as well as the effective participation of youth in decision making processes.
