Description

La presente Ley es de orden público, de interés social y de observancia general en los Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Tiene por objeto garantizar el ejercicio de los derechos de las personas adultas mayores, así como establecer las bases y disposiciones para su cumplimiento, mediante la regulación de:
I. La política pública nacional para la observancia de los derechos de las personas adultas mayores;
II. Los principios, objetivos, programas, responsabilidades e instrumentos que la administración pública federal, las entidades federativas y los municipios deberán observar en la planeación y aplicación de la política pública nacional, y
III. El Instituto Nacional de las Personas Adultas Mayores.

This law is of public order and social interest of general observance in the United States of Mexico. It aims to ensure the exercise of the rights of older persons and to set the basis and provisions for compliance, by regulating:
I. The national public policy for the enforcement of the rights of older persons;
II. The principles, objectives, programs, responsibilities and instruments that the federal government, the states and municipalities must observed in the planning and implementation of national public policy, and
III. The National Institute of Older Persons.
