Description

La presente Ley tiene por objeto regular la acogida familiar de las personas mayores como servicio social, con la finalidad de conseguir un mayor grado de bienestar para las personas mayores que necesitan dicho servicio, manteniéndolas en un ambiente familiar y social, y evitándoles el internamiento en instituciones geriátricas cuando éste no sea la solución adecuada ni la que ellas desean e impidiendo que queden desarraigadas del núcleo de convivencia y solas.

This Act is to regulate the host family of the elderly as a social service, in order to achieve greater wellness for seniors who need this service, keeping them in a friendly and social environment, and the avoidance of placement in nursing homes where this is not the right solution or the one they want.
