Die Umsetzung der Gesundheitsförderungsstrategie soll, wie im Bundes-Zielsteuerungsvertrag festgelegt, durch ein Monitoring begleitet werden. Die Strategie soll kein statisches sondern ein dynamisches Instrument sein, das entsprechend den Ergebnissen des Umsetzungsmonitorings weiterzuentwickeln ist.
Das Monitoring hat fünf Hauptziele:
1. Beobachtung, ob die grundlegenden Ziele zur Weiterentwicklung der GF-Strategie erreicht werden
2. Beobachtung der Mittelverwendung in Bezug auf inhaltliche Schwerpunktsetzung und der Einhaltung von Grundsätzen und Qualitätskriterien der GF-Strategie
3. Beobachtung der Wirkung der GF-Strategie
4. Überregionales Lernen und Vernetzung in der Projektdurchführung
5. Datengenerierung für wissenschaftliche Forschung

The implementation of the health promotion strategy comprises a monitoring component. The strategy should not be a static but a dynamic tool, which continues to develop according to the results of the implementation monitoring.
The monitoring has five main objectives :
1. observing whether the basic objectives of the health promotion strategy are met
2. monitoring the use of funds regarding priorities and compliance to quality standards declared in the health promotion strategy
3. observing the effects of the health promotion strategy
4. promoting regional networking during the project implementation
5. generating data for scientific research
