Description

The Queensland Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Strategic Plan 2014–2019 (the plan) sets a path towards achieving our vision. It is based on what we heard from Queenslanders, as well as the evidence about what is needed and what works.

Seven principles underpin the plan and will guide all actions. They embed a strong focus on
1. person centered approaches to
2. improving quality of life and respecting
3. the rights and dignity of all Queenslanders. They call for
4. a responsive and effective system that
5. respects diversity and is
6. fair, accessible and equitable. The principles acknowledge that we all have a role to play and must
7. share the responsibility for improving the mental health and wellbeing of Queenslanders.
