Description

The South Australian Government has recently developed a new youth strategy in partnership with the youth sector.

'It Starts with YOUth' is about investing in the future development of young South Australians.

Young people, along with government and non-government representatives, will work together to identify key issues and the best ways to respond to them.

For 2015, the priority issue is homelessness, a key issue for the government and a critical issue for young people in this state.

The strategy will also focus on the transition of young people from education to further education, training and employment.

A key element of the strategy will be the development of a new model for engaging with young people, to ensure their views are listened to, captured and acted upon by Government.
