La Política Pública de Protección Integral para la Niñez y Adolescencia es un instrumento político y de planificación social estratégico, de mediano y largo plazo, dirigido a construir las condiciones necesarias para que la presente y futuras generaciones de niños, niñas y adolescentes puedan disfrutar de una vida digna, a partir del cumplimiento de sus derechos humanos, en materia de salud, educación, recreación y protección; así como del desarrollo social, fortalecimiento y protección a sus familias.
