Description

The Specific Action Program for Mental Health (PAE) 2013-2018 is supported by the Miguel Hidalgo Model of Mental Health Care, and serves as a starting point to formulate, implement and, where necessary, strengthen the implementation of the National Mental Health Plan in the country. This program is a tool that will help intersectoral coordination on mental health, as well as promote the organization of services, through the establishment of a community-based network. Emphasis is placed on the promotion of mental health and prevention of mental disorders as an effective strategy in reducing the burden of these disorders, since early detection and care improves the quality of life for people and reduces care costs.
