La publicación “Conceptualizaciones sobre salud mental infanto juvenil” forma parte de la serie “Red de Abordaje y Atención en Salud Mental Comunitaria” y tiene como objetivo acercar sugerencias y recomendaciones como herramientas de trabajo que orienten la atención en salud mental de niños, niñas y adolescentes. Se halla enmarcado en la Convención Internacional de los Derechos del Niño, en la Ley Nacional de Protección de los Derechos de las Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes Nº 26.061 y en la Ley Nacional de Salud Mental Nº 26.657 y su Decreto Reglamentario Nº 603/2013, entendiendo a los niños, niñas y adolescentes como sujetos de derecho, a lo cuales se les debe garantizar el acceso a la salud integral.
La misma se desarrolló frente a la necesidad de producir material de referencia para dar un marco conceptual y teórico a las capacitaciones dirigidas a los recursos humanos del Primer Nivel de Atención, las cuales buscan sensibilizar y brindar herramientas básicas para el abordaje de las problemáticas de salud mental infanto juveniles.
