Le Gouvernement du Burundi à travers le Ministère de la Santé Publique et de Lutte contre le Sida (MSPLS) se réjouit d’avoir la nouvelle Politique Nationale de Santé. Celle-ci couvrira la période de 2016 – 2025 et s’inscrit dans la continuité de la précédente qui couvrait la période de 2005 – 2015.
Cette Politique Nationale de Santé 2016-2025 est en phase avec les Actes, Déclarations et Engagements internationaux auxquels le Burundi a souscrits en matière de santé et jette le pont entre les OMD et les Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD) dans le cadre du Programme Mondial de Développement durable (2016-2030).
La présente politique est structurée autour des valeurs ci-après : (i) la solidarité, (ii) l’équité et égalité (iii) la justice sociale, (iv) l’intégrité et l’éthique, (v) le respect des droits humains et (vi) l’égalité des genres. Elle a pour but d’amener la population au niveau de santé le plus élevé possible en vue de sa pleine participation aux efforts multiformes de Développement National Durable.

The Government of Burundi through the Ministry of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS (MSPLS) is delighted to have the new National Health Policy. This will cover the period from 2016 to 2025 and is a continuation of the previous one which covered the period from 2005 to 2015.
This 2016-2025 National Health Policy is in line with the International Acts, Declarations and Commitments to which Burundi has subscribed in the area of health and bridges the MDGs and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the framework of the Sustainable Development World Program (2016-2030).
This policy is structured around the following values: (i) solidarity, (ii) equity and equality (iii) social justice, (iv) integrity and ethics, (v) respect for human rights and (vi) gender equality. It aims to bring the population to the highest possible level of health with a view to their full participation in the multifaceted efforts of National Sustainable Development.
