Este Plan propone objetivos estratégicos y metas a cumplir entre los años 2017 y 2025 en siete líneas de acción complementarias y sinérgicas entre sí, en las áreas de Regulación y Derechos Humanos, Provisión de Servicios de Salud Mental, Financiación, Gestión de la Calidad, Sistemas de Información e Investigación, Recursos Humanos y Formación, Participación e Intersectorialidad. El objetivo central es sustentar el desarollo óptimo de la red de servicios de salud mental, haciéndolos más accesibles, equitativos y resolutivos de las necesidades de salud mental de las personas, desde un enfoque de derechos.
