Este Documento de “Orientaciones Técnicas: Consultoría en Salud Mental” tiene como propósito entregar herramientas técnicas a los equipos para abordar la resolución de problemas de salud mental de las personas en el nivel primario de atención y promover la programación y ejecución de Consultorías de Salud Mental en Atención Primaria de Salud por parte de los Equipos de Salud Mental de especialidad, estableciendo los criterios de calidad que las Consultorías de Salud Mental deben cumplir para asegurar el impacto sanitario que de ellas se espera. El resultado de la aplicación de estas orientaciones mejorará la capacidad resolutiva y optimizará la calidad de la atención de las personas con problemas de salud mental que acuden a los establecimientos de salud del nivel primario y la continuidad de cuidados de quienes llegan a este nivel de atención derivadas desde los equipos de especialidad en salud mental.

The purpose of this document is to provide technical tools to teams to address the resolution of mental health problems of people at the primary level of care and to promote the programming and execution of Mental Health consultancies in Primary Health Care by the specialty Mental Health Teams, establishing the quality criteria that Mental Health Consultancies must meet to ensure the health impact expected of them. The application of these guidelines will improve the resolution capacity and optimize the quality of care for people with mental health problems who attend primary level health facilities and the continuity of care for those who reach this level of care from the mental health specialty teams.
