Description
This Act applies to the organisation of health care. Its objective is that all people of Iceland shall have access to the optimum health service which it is possible to provide at any time in order to safeguard mental, physical and social health in accord with the provisions of this Act, [the Health Insurance Act], the Patients’ Rights Act and other legislation as applicable.This Act was first enacted in 2007, with the latest amendments in 2014.
